Seanchas Gaelach

The intention of this site is to provide free resources for Irish learners, with stories, songs, and folk histories taken from the National Folklore Collection that have been annotated to provide a glossary of dialectal terms and background information in order to make them accessible.

The majority of these stories are written in Donegal Irish, as this is the dialect that interests me, however I will make an effort to add a wider variety over time. I know from first-hand experience how difficult it can be to find free resources, especially for native, dialectal Irish, and I hope that these stories will inspire people to learn Irish and about Irish folklore.
